• The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) was founded in the year 1956 and it is Singapore’s oldest not-for-profit professional institute. Addressing industrial relationships and training supervisors on job relations and industrial safety were the main aims of this institute. The location of the institute enhances the commendable services and courses offered, as Singapore is known for its educational excellence and ranked 2nd in The Economist’s Safe City Index.

MDIS has two main subsidiaries- Management Development Institute of Singapore Pte Ltd (MDIS Pte Ltd) that oversees its Singapore academic operations, and MDIS International Pte Ltd, which focuses on its globalization strategy.

An overview

MDIS College Pte Ltd offers three academic courses, namely, Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level), Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level), and Preparatory Course for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education. The institute, carrying the vision of lifelong learning with global recognition, enjoys two campuses in Singapore- at Sterling Road and Dhoby Ghaut at Orchard Road. Campus facilities include hostel, cafe, student communal area, auditorium, resource hub, food court, hall, lecture theatre, and studies and various labs respective to the courses offered.

Management Development Institute of Singapore is situated in Singapore in Singapore state of Malaysia. Established in 1956, it is accredited from Other and it is affiliated to Management Development Institute of Singapore. MDIS, Singapore offers 13 courses across 7 streams namely Management, Engineering, Science, Commerce and Banking, Design, Hotel Management, Media and Mass Communication and across 8 degrees like BBA, BSc, B.Tech, B.F.A.D., MBA. MDIS campus is spread over 30 Acres. Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as Auditorium, Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel, Gym, Library are also there.

• Chennai, India established in 2015
• Johor, Malaysia established in 2013
• Tashkent, Uzbekistan established in 2008

MDIS also has representative offices in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Indonesia and China, as well as agents throughout Southeast Asia.

Student Services

The campus at Sterling boasts of a hostel consisting of 782 air-conditioned rooms, 14 suites, a 500-seater auditorium, and a cafeteria. Known as the MDIS Residences@Sterling, the eco-friendly architecture can accommodate 1700 students. There is a Career Assistance Unit for the students with the objective of helping them to land a job before graduation. “Career Hub,” an exclusive career portal is one such career service provided by the institute. To date, more than 1000 registered companies have offered employment and internship opportunities through this portal.

• Several accommodation options are available, students may choose to rent either a property or a room
• Property rental is ideal if the student is willing to share with friends or students
• Room rental is where the student takes a room where other people already live. Students may be living with students, families or others who live nearby and have a spare room 
• The average monthly rent for a single student in Singapore range from SGD 6,00 to SGD 8,00
• Facilities include Furnished room, On-site Laundry, Gym, CCTV cameras, Access Card
