Loyalist College, officially known as Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology, is an English-language college situated in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.
Historically, prior to the 1960s, the province of Ontario had only trade schools alongside universities at the post-secondary level. These trade schools were mainly established to assist veterans in reintegrating into society after World War II. In 1967, as part of a provincial initiative to create a network of career-focused diploma and certificate programs, along with continuing education offerings for communities in Ontario, Loyalist College was founded. The college derives its name from the original settlement in the area by United Empire Loyalists.
Initially, Loyalist College operated within a local high school. However, in 1968, it relocated to its current 200-acre campus on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. The college also has a satellite campus in Bancroft, Ontario, and maintains an association with the First Nations Technical Institute located in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory reserve.

f) Campus locations: Loyalist College has three campuses in Ontario, Canada: Belleville, Bancroft, and Toronto. The college’s main campus is located in Belleville, about two hours east of Toronto. The college’s 200-acre campus is surrounded by housing, shopping, and dining. It’s also close to Lake Ontario, where students can enjoy beaches, boating, fishing, and walking.
Loyalist College has five suite-style residence buildings on campus. The residences are located in a wooded area near downtown Belleville. They can accommodate 476 students.
