Being an International Student, Everyone needs to earn while learning. University of Surrey, UK announced PG courses for International Student that provide work permit as a part of the curriculum and update their visa too.
The New courses are:
- MSc in Business Analytics
- Marketing Management
- Human Resource Management
- Operation and Supply Chain in the Digital Era
- International Retail Marketing in the Digital Environment
Against the standard 12 month course, these courses are 15 months long. In the additional 3 months, students will be asked to work in the relevant Industry and during that University will update the student’s visa too.
Mark Barlow, Director of student recruitment and admission, University of Surrey has told about this new scheme that is actually a replacement of traditional arrangement of submitting dissertations as a final project.
In his words, “Placements can provide students with opportunity to apply the course information in relevant organizational context.” A senior teaching fellow and career office of the university will help the student to find the relevant placement opportunity to the course, the university will also examine the offers with course relevancy.
To ensure the same the University of Surrey has networked with 2300 companies to provide the placement opportunities, and the career office, global engagement office and students union at the University would also contribute to this scheme.
“Once an offer is secured, the University will sponsor a visa permitting work for the selected students,” Barlow says. If a student is unable to secure a placement or s/he does not want to apply for the same, they can revert to the standard 12-month MSc course. The courses have a strong demand from India, Thailand, and China.

Eligibility: Candidate must have scored 60-65% marks in graduation as well as 6.5 in IELTS or equivalent
Fee Tuition fee per course is £20,500.
