Germany has become one of the leading study abroad destinations to reach its foreign enrolment growth target of 350,000 students. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) painted a positive picture of significant growth over the past year. As of 2015/16 academic year, over 340,000 international students were enrolled in higher institutions of Germany. The International enrolment in the country grew by nearly 6% again last year and the country has reached its current target to host 350,000 international students by 2020.

Germany can see 360,000 from here! The latest enrolment data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reveals a big jump in international student numbers in Germany in 2016/17. Destatis confirms that Germany’s foreign enrolment continues to grow and puts total international enrolment nearly 360,000 students for the year.
