North Island College (NIC) proudly recognizes the traditional territories of the collective 35 First Nations from the Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwaka’wakw, and Coast Salish traditions. These territories are the traditional and unceded lands upon which the college’s campuses are located.
NIC is a comprehensive community college with a strong commitment to student success. Annually, we provide educational services to over 9,000 students through our four campuses, learning center, and a range of online and in-community learning opportunities.

The largest campus is in the Comox Valley, at 2300 Ryan Road in Courtenay, but there are also campuses in Campbell River, Port Alberni and Port Hardy. A centre is also located in Ucluelet and there are two vocational centres: Tebo Vocational Centre in Port Alberni and Vigar Road Vocational Centre in Campbell River.
